Blended Scotch Whisky Packaging.
D&AD brief to brand and package a blended scotch whisky that appeals to women.
During my research I learnt that every year around 2% of all whisky is ‘mysteriously lost’ during the maturing process, and is commonly known as ‘The Angels Share’. I chose to base my whisky on this tale, and design the bottle and packaging in a way that would appeal to both men and women. I feel this is a better approach to marketing the product instead of patronising women with a girly alternative to what is widely perceived as a mans drink. I tried to keep the design simple and sophisticated, using the golden whisky as the only colour, and subtle angel references like the stained glass window label, and golden ‘halo’ ribbon around the cork.
Uni brief to redesign an existing magazine.
I chose MTHR FNKR, an online music blog I follow and selected just a few of their features, reviews and interviews to print. I’ve referred to the traditional formats of journalism and music by printing the blog as a newspaper, and packaging it in a 12” vinyl sleeve (when they arrive!) showing the issue number and barcode through the circular window on both sides.
Tumblr wont let me upload anymore photos in one post, so view the rest over here on my Behance page.
